Guest Speaker: Michael Tse

Chair Professor of Electrical Engineering
Associate Vice-President (Innovation) and Director of CityU Academy of Innovation

Michael Tse graduated from the University of Melbourne with BEng(Hons) and PhD in electrical engineering. He is presently Chair Professor of Electrical Engineering with City University of Hong Kong, and concurrently takes up the administrative roles of Associate Vice-President (Innovation) and Director of the Academy of Innovation, for which he manages an integrated tech-startup incubation, investment, and education platform. He is/was honorary professor and distinguished fellow with several Australian, Canadian and Chinese universities, including his alma mater Melbourne University, RMIT University, University of Western Australia, University of Calgary, Huazhong University of Science and Technology (being Chang Jiang Scholars Chair), etc. In April 2025, he staged a duo exhibition on calligraphy at Salon International d'Art Contemporain, Lourve, Paris. In 2026, he co-curated "Prototyping", an exhibition bridging technologies and society, at the Indra and Harry Banga Gallery. He is a Fellow of IEEE, IEAustralia, HKIE, and the Hong Kong Academy of Engineering.
